BREDY (LITTLE) is a chapelry annexed to Long Bredy, in the hundred of Uggescombe, distant 7 miles W. by S. of Dorchester, containing 1,636 acres. The whole of the estate belongs to Robert WILLIAMS,Esq., of Bridehead house. The mansion of Bridehead is one of the finest in the country. The chapel is dedicated to St. Michael. The Rev. Henry Storks EATON, M. is the curate. The population in 1861 was199.

 

Postal Regulations,-- John TABOR, receiver. Letters arrive by foot post from Dorchester at 8am.; dispatched at 7pm. Dorchester is the nearest money order office and post town.
