The following is a synopsis of the information in the document relating to Nash Court/Marnhull Manor and the HUSSEY family.
In 1651 George HUSSEY purchased Marnhull Manor (c380 acres called Nash Court) from Edward WALCOTT.
George HUSSEY (1622 to 1677 or 5 Oct 1711) married Elizabeth WALCOTT (grand-daughter of Charles WALCOTT of Walcot Hall, Co. Salop and daughter of Ellis or Elias and Elizabeth WALCOTT, Elizabeth was the daughter of Sir Richard Conquest). Elizabeth probably died before 1657.
They were probably living in Marnhull prior to 1651.
Children:
George was buried in Marnhull on 17 Apr 1649.
Cecily born 1652 died 9 Apr 1721 at the English Benedictine Convent at Cambrai (where she had been the Abbess 1694-97 and 1705-10).
Elizabeth (daughter) buried 3 Dec 1657.

George HUSSEY’s second marriage was probably between 1657 & 1659 to Grace DYVE or DIVES (daughter of Sir Lewis DYVE).

Susan born circa June 1660, died 8 Aug 1702 at Mary Teresa of the Child Jesus at Valenciennes where she was sub-prioress.

Martha (once called Mary) married Bernard Addis.

George Hussey was succeeded by his son John, John married Mary BURDETT (Apr 1673 – 17 Nov 1756) daughter of Thomas BURDETT of Smithfield and his wife (nee Cary) on 11 Feb 1696 at her father’s house in Gold Street by Cheapside.

The eldest son George succeeded John Hussey in 1736, in 1740 at George’s death John was “in part possession of the estate”, John was succeeded by James in 1753 and by Giles in 1773. During his lifetime he resigned Nash Court to his nephew John Rowe (injunction to take the name Hussey) and went to live in John Rowe’s residence in Bearston/Beeston, Ashburton.
John Rowe married Anne, daughter of George Rowe of Cranbourne, he died 22 Jan 1811 aged 75.
John & Anne’s son John (born 23 Oct 1794) succeeded, he married on 12 May 1817 Catherine daughter of John KNAPP of Bath and Portsea, and grand-daughter of James Knapp of Langstone, Hants. He was still alive in 1871.
