This document principally presents genealogical details from the research papers of Henry Symonds, FSA, author of “A MEMOIR OF THE FAMILY OF SYMONDS OF SOMERSET AND DORSET”, printed for private circulation in Taunton in 1933. Where possible credits to Henry Symonds would be appreciated.
In some parishes, these have been supplemented by extracts from Mormon films on the parish registers or bishop’s transcripts from selected parishes. Such supplements and their sources are clearly identified.

name of George Leekey
as churchwarden in 1802 is on a bell in the tower, and also on charity boards in
the church. A family vault is in the churchyard, near to the child’s tomb
above mentioned, but it is now covered with turf and no memorials are visible
above ground.
