The east or chancel end of the church

The 14thC  tower is all that remains of the original church, the rest being entirely rebuilt in 1862

The south porch which has welcomed thousands of parishioners over the centuries.

The font is 13thC and  has a Purbeck marble seven-sided bowl with arcading on each face.

Memorial to Jacob BROWNE who died in 1817, it mentions his wife Mary and five others.

Memorial to Henry BARTLETT, died 1898 and to Martha his wife and Joseph his son.

Memorial to Mary Ann SWAFFIELD d.1870 also mentions Thomas Walter, William, Priscilla & Thomas

Memorial to George James Walden HAWKINS d. 1918, also Elizabeth Ann. The carving at the top is of a sprig of ivy. Memorial to Joseph SWAFFIELD who died in 1917, also his wife Mary Martha
On the left is a picture of Annie Sibley who was married to Fred
Sibley a mason, they were living in Shipton Gorge in the 1901
Census. Does anyome know if this cottage still exists?
