Stalbridge Town Criers 1865 William WEST - was it William born 1801 to William and Elizabeth West - a shoemaker, he married Rhoda GRIMS at Stalbridge in 1823. He is mentioned as Town Crier in City and County Trade Directory for 1865 - but I can find no further reference. His wife died in 1866 and he died at Stalbridge in 1871. |
