Last Will and Testament

Proved at London 15th October 1743

The Last Will and Testament of me John Bemister of  S--ney brook in the parish of Wimborne ~~  Winston? In the County of Dorset Yeoman being sick and weakIn body but of sound and disposing mind memory and ~~~Understanding (thanks be to God for the same) as follows ~~First I will that all such debts as I shall owe at my decease Be fully paid and discharged and do desire to be buried inThe parish churchyard of Ringwood in the County of  Southton in a decent and Christianlike manner as my ~ Executors hereinafter named shall think fit I give devise And bequeath unto my son John Bemister my freehold land Situate in Ellingham in the County of Southton aforesaid and To his heirs for ever I give to my wife Jane Bemister the ~~~ One half of all such household goods as were her own property Before I intermarried with her and also the sum of sixty ~~~ Pounds also I give unto my four children (to wit)? Benjamin Joseph Joanna and Mary one hundred pounds each and I do charge all my real and personal estate that I shall dye siezed or possessed of with the payment of the several legacies by me before given All the rest & residue of my personal ~~~ estate that I shall dye  possessed of and not herein before ~ given I give and bequeath unto my two sons John and Thomas Bemister and do make and appoint them whole And sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament ~~ And I do desire and appoint Mr. John Brixey of Kingston In the Parish of Ringwood aforesaid  to be overseer of This my Will and to see the same only and justly performed And do desire him also to be aiding and assisting unto my Said Executors as well in the execution of this my will as In all other affairs of my said two sons John and Thomas And I do moreover give and direct the sum of twenty ~ Pounds _____ to be paid unto my four children herein Before named by my said Executors out of my said personal Estate (to wit) Benjamin, Joseph, Joanna and Mary over And above the sum of one hundred pounds each by me ~ Before given unto them by this my will In witness whereof I the said John Bemister the Testator have hereunto set My hand and seal (as my Last Will and Testament) the ~~ Fifteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one ~~ Thousand seven hundred and forty three John Bemister  /~~ Signed sealed published and declared by the said John ~~~~ Bemister the Testator as and for his last will and Testament In the presence of us who subscribed our Names as Witnesses Thereto in his presence W. This Will was proved at London on the fifteenth Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and forty three before the Right Worshipfull John Bottesworth? Also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper  and ~~~ Commisary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted by the Oaths of John Bemister and Thomas ~~Bemister the sons of the deceased and Executors named in The said Will to whom administration was granted of all And singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said ~~~ Deceased being first sworn by Commission duly administered ~~ The same./
