Winterborne Whitechurch

BAPTISMS 1813–1837
Transcribed from BTs by Tony Higgins for OPC project August 2005

WW = Winterborne Whitechurch (usually written in BTs as ‘Whitechurch’)

MA = Milton Abbas (sometimes written in BTs as ‘Milton’ or ‘Abbey Milton’)

Part of Winterborne Whitechurch village is within the parish boundary of Milton Abbas, which accounts for some baptism entries giving residence as “Whitechurch in Milton Abbas”.

The online IGI has a partial transcript of baptisms for Winterborne Whitechurch, taken from the same source (microfilm 1239260 of BTs, Batch number C160211).  For the period 1813–1837 the IGI records less than 50% of legible entries.

Comments and queries by transcriber are given in brackets.
