In the name of God Amen I James POOK of Dorchester in the County of Dorset Inn holder do this tenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say

First: I give to my son John POOK the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid him by my executrix hereinafter named in three months after he shall attain his full age of twenty one years with interest for the same in the meantime after the rate of Four Pounds Ten Shillings per cent per annum to go to and be applied towards his education and maintenance

Also: I give to my daughters Hannah and Elizabeth POOK the sum of Two Hundred Pounds each to be paid them by my Executrix hereinafter named in three months next after they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years or be married which ever shall first happen with interest to be paid them in the meantime for their respective legacies after the rate of Four Pounds Ten shillings per cent per annum towards their respective maintenance and education

    And: it is my will that in case either of my said three children herein before named shall happen to die before they become respectively possessed or entitled to their legacies therein before given the by virtue of this my will that then the legacy or lagacies of him or her or them so dying shall go to and be equally divided amongst the survivor or survivors at such time or times as they shall become entitled to the payment of their own respective lagacies

Also I give and devise to my dear wife Sarah POOK the dwelling House wherein I now live commonly called the 'Plume and Feathers' together with the Backside Stables and Appurtenances thereunto belonging to hold to her, her executors administrators and assigns for and during all estate and interest I shall have therein to come at my decease

    But: subject to the payment of one annuity or rent charge of Five Pounds a Year to Jane the wife of Robert FILDEW for and during the term of her life

Also I give and devise to my dear wife All that Malthouse and Garden with the appurtenances situate lying and being in the Back West Street in the Parish of the Holy Trinity in Dorchester aforesaid which I lately purchased of the assignees of William CHANNING Bankrupt, To hold to her, her Executors Administrators and Assignees for and during all my estate and Interest therein

And lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my goods and chattels and Personal estate of what nature or kind so ever and where ever I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife whom I do hereby appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other Wills by me made
