This is the Last Will & Testament of me Matthew POUNCY of Dorchester in the County of Dorset Butcher (Viz)

First: I give unto my two sons Benjamin POUNCY and William POUNCY Five and twenty pounds each & one broad piece each to be paid them in one year after my decease.

Item: I give unto my grand Son Matthew POUNCY and to my grand daughter Mary POUNCY son and daughter of my son John POUNCY Five Pounds each to be paid them in one year after my decease

Item: I give unto my son Benjamin's children one broad piece each to be paid in one year after my decease And my will is that if either of my said sons or grand: children shall die before payment of his legacy without child or children that then the legacy given to him shall go to the survivors

All the Rest: and Residue of my estate goods and Chattels whatsoever I give unto my two sons John POUNCY and Thomas POUNCY to be equally divided between them share and share alike whom I make sole executors of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness: whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 23rd day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty seven

PROVED : July 26th 1760:

The within written Will of Matthew POUNCY deceased was proved by the oaths of John POUNCY and Thomas POUNCY the natural and lawful sons of the said deceased and Executors within named to whom administration of all and singular the goods chattels and Credits of the said deceased was granted they being first sworn faithfully to administer the same according to law and to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory thereof into the Registry of the Bishop of Bristol and to render a just account thereon when lawfully required
