Know All Men by these presents: that I Richard DAVIDGE of east Greenwhich in County of Kent
mariner has and by these presents doe make ordaine and constitute
my loving brother John DAVIDGE of the same Parish Watchman
my true and lawfull Attorney Irrevocable for mee and in my name
and for my use to able demand and receive of and from the Right Honble
the Treasurer or Paymaster of their Majesties Navy and Commission
for Prize money and whome else it may concerne as well all such wages
and pay bounty money Prize money and all other summe and summes
of money whatsoever as now is and which hereafter shall or may bee
due or payable unto mee pursueant to their Majesties gratious declaration
of the twenty third of May One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Nine,
And alsoe all such pensions Sallaryes Smart Money and all other moneys
and things whatsoever which now and at any time hereafter is and
shall bee due to mee for my service or otherwise in any of their Majesties
Shipps ffrigots or vessells or any Merchant Shipp or Shipps As alsoe
to demand recover and receive of all other person or persons what=
soever whome it doth or may concerne all and singular such other
summe and summes of money goods wares effects wages debts dues
claimes and demands whatsoever which now and hereafter is or
shall bee due and payable unto mee either by bond bill booke Amount

or otherwise howsoever And moreover in my name and for my proper
use to demise and let by lease in writing or otherwise allow any
of my Messuages Lands or Tenements to such person or persons
and for such terme of yeares conditions and reservations as my said
Attorney or his Councell shall thinke fit and conveinient Giving and
hereby Granting unto my said Attorney my full and whole power
in the premisses and to recover and recieve all and singular the
summe and summes of money matters and things aforesaid and upon
nonpayment thereof or any parte thereof all such person or persons
whome it may concerne and where need shall require their executors
Administrators and goods to sue arrest attach seize Imprison
prosecute and Condemne and to compound and agree out of prison
to release and discharge And upon receipt of the siad premisses or any
part thereof Accquittances Releases or anyother discharges for mee
and in my name to make seale and deliver and one Attorney or more
to substitute and at pleasure to revoake And generally to act and doe
all other Acts matters and things whatsoever needfull and necessary
to bee done in and concerning the premises as fully and efficiently as I
ought or could doe if I were personally present ratefyeing and allowing
for firme and valid and irrevocable and all whatsoever my said Attorney
shall lawfully doe or cause to bee done in or touching the premises by
vitrue of these presents And I the siad Richard DAVIDGE considering
the Uncertainty of this transitory life doe make and declare these
presents to containe my last Will and Testament that is to say All
such wages summe and summes of money Lands tenements goods
chattells and estate whatsoever wherewith at the time of my decease
I shall bee possessed or Invested and which shall then belong or of right
appertain unto mee I doe give devise and bequeath unto my said
loveing brother John DAVIDGE And I doe hereby nomminate and appoint
my said loveing brother John DAVIDGE sole executor And doe revoake
all former Wills and Deeds of gift by mee at any time heretofore made
And doe ordaine these presents to stand and bee for and as my only last
Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seale the five and twentieth day of ffebruary Anno Domini
169½ And in the fourth yeare of the Raigne of King William &
Queen Mary of England Richard DAVIDGE Signed Sealed
